BIO

Recently awarded regional Best Actress Award from Broadway World for her performance as "Donna" in Mamma Mia!, HPK is known for her portrayal of "Donna" and "Tanya" in Mamma Mia! throughout the country and around the world. She has also been seen in the NY area as Rebecca Miller in the world premier of Hit Her With the Skates at the Union County Performing Arts Center, and was cast in the Off-Broadway show On the Rails. She has played"Donna,"in Mamma Mia! at such places as with the Arrow Rock Lyceum and Mason Street Warehouse, Saugatuck Center for the Arts, as well as the Fireside Theatre. As "Tanya" she performed for international audiences as with Mamma Mia! International as well as with the John W. Engeman Theatre. She was the "Diana" understudy (to Judy McLane) in Next to Normal at Syracuse Stage, "Nancy" in Oliver at the North Carolina Theatre and appeared at many other regional and NY theatres in such roles as "Fruma Sarah" in Fiddler on the Roof with Paul Sorvino, and "Glinda" in The Wizard of Oz, directed by Casey Hushion, "Lady Macbeth" in Macbeth, "Eliza" in My Fair Lady, "Maria" in The Sound of Music, "Lady Capulet" in Romeo and Juliet, "Mrs. Banks" in Mary Poppins, "Vi" in Footloose, and understudied "Eva" in Evita. She has also participated in readings with Goodspeed Opera House, (Queen Mother), HHWTS Productions, and Purple Mountain/ Walk Run Fly Productions, (Part of the Plan, Dan Fogelberg Musical). She is a repeat Symphony performer with the North Carolina Symphony and performed in the operas Tosca, Suzanna, and Don Giovanni with the Indianapolis Opera.


Heather has coached students currently on Broadway, in national tours, at regional theatres, and in numerous college and university theatre programs such as CCM, Elon, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, FSU and Michigan State. She is the former director of the Act Out Ensemble Social Issue Theatre and the founder, creator, and director of the Theatre 4 Change Conflict Resolution Theatre.
