Rirkrit Tiravanija Unveils Exhibition and New Opera Production

In a de-centralised exhibition from 5 to 29 May 2023, Haus der Kunst is showing works by the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija (b. 1961, Buenos Aires) at various sites in the building. In a first collaboration between Haus der Kunst and the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the exhibition takes place at the same time as Toshio Hosokawa's opera Hanjo, which will be performed in the Westgalerie of Haus der Kunst and for which Rirkrit Tiravanija has created the stage design.

Great Lakes Theater (GLT) has released production photos for its production of Jane Austen’s classic, Sense and Sensibility, performing in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square through March 5, 2023. GLT’s Associate Artistic Director, Sara Bruner, and Artistic Associate, Jaclyn Miller, will co-direct this production. Originating from a Japanese urban legend of ‘Hanako-san’, a girl ghost who haunts school bathrooms, the track is a spooky, yet undeniable ATARASHII GAKKO! high octane banger. The music video, directed by Sayaka Nakane and shot in an abandoned elementary school, includes choreography created by the group themselves.
