Golda Rosheuvel began performing professionally while still in college. Her first professional theater credit was Donna in a nine-month European tour of Hair (1988). Her stage credits include Carmen Jones (1991), Fame (1995), Tommy (1996–1997), Jesus Christ Superstar (1998), South Pacific (2001), Hair (2005), Julius Caesar (2006), The Tempest (2006 and 2007), Antony and Cleopatra (2006), The White Devil (2008), The Winter’s Tale (2009), Romeo and Juliet (2009), Macbeth (2010), Juliet and Her Romeo (2010), Marat/Sade (2011), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2013), The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess (2014), Electra (2014), Wonder.land (2015–2016), A Pacifist’s Guide to the War on Cancer (2016), Romeo and Juliet (2017), A Christmas Carol (2017–2018), Othello (2018), The American Clock (2019) and Rare Earth Mettle (2020).

Rosheuvel made her television debut in Great Performances in the 2000 production of Jesus Christ Superstar, playing Maid By Fire. Her television credits include Patsy Richards in The Bill (2005), Doctor Lorrimer in Casualty (2006), Dr. Angela Connolly in Torchwood (2008), Hospital Receptionist in Consuming Passion: 100 Years of Mills & Boon (2008), Sally Thomas in Luther (2011), Doctor Renshaw in Coronation Street (2012), Lennie in Dead Boss (2012), the Vicar in Threesome (2012), a local coffee shop server in Mr Stink (2012), Hostel Worker in Rev. (2014), Photographer in I Live with Models (2015), Midwife Jenni in EastEnders (2015), Lyndsey Morrison in Silent Witness (2019), and Alice Joyce in Death in Paradise (2020).

In 2019, Rosheuvel was cast as Queen Charlotte in the Netflix series Bridgerton, which premiered in 2020. She received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2021. She reprised the role in the prequel miniseries Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023), in which she had the lead role. She also appeared as Jocelyn in Doctor Who (2024) and is set to play Iona in the upcoming drama series The Dream Lands.
