Review: UNSEEN at Mosaic Theater Company
by Rachael F. Goldberg - Apr 6, 2023
'Unseen' is a heartfelt and heartrending production that covers difficult topics, but somehow manages to leave the audience feeling hopeful. Mona Mansour's script is beautiful and poignant, and the team at Mosaic brings it to life with care, heart, and impressive artistry.

BWW Review: TEENAGE DICK at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company
by Timothy Treanor - Sep 26, 2021
Is it possible that Richard III, had he been beloved by those around him notwithstanding his hunchback, would have abandoned ambition and treachery and instead become a loving and gentle mentor and guardian to Edward V? Would he have gracefully stepped aside when the young King reached his majority, thus ushering in thirty generations of peaceful Yorkish rule?

BWW Review: TWELFTH NIGHT at Shakespeare Theatre Company
by Pamela Roberts - Nov 24, 2017
The Shakespeare Theatre Company's TWELFTH NIGHT is a fresh look at a familiar story a bit darker with less over-the-top mirth. It is well worth revisiting Shakespeare's comedy for a new take on the familiar story.

BWW Review: THE ARSONISTS is Incendiary at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company
by Evann Normandin - Sep 15, 2017
Do you ever feel like we're all just sitting around watching the world burn? If you would like to do that in the presence of like-minded theatre goers, then head down to Woolly Mammoth and experience the sensation that is THE ARSONISTS. Written by Max Frisch in 1958 and commonly interpreted as a metaphor for the rise of Communism and Nazism, this new translation by Alistair Beaton directed by Michael John Garc s feels frighteningly contemporary.

BWW Review: HIR at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company
by Jenny Minich - May 28, 2017
HIR is the conscientious absurdist's guide to confronting 'the world order.' It's crazy watchable, like some kind of substantive, impactful, topsy-turvy sitcom. Mac's characters are flamboyant and talk very loud about all the things that our parents told us not to discuss in public. And it's wonderful!
