The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is opening up their Back Yard Stage in Florham Park, NJ again for an outdoor concert series titled, “Autumn Night Music.” Three of STNJ’s most luminous alums will bring music to the night air in three very different concerts.
Producers N’Kenge and Richard Bell will present a private industry reading of “Dorothy Dandridge: The Musical” the true story of Hollywood’s very first African- American movie star, with book & lyrics by 2-time Emmy Award winner Trey Ellis, music & lyrics by Shelton Becton and directed by Tony Award winner Tamara Tunie.
Amas Musical Theatre will present a virtual benefit reading of “Black Butterfly” a surreal dramedy TV series with music, written by Mary McCallum & N'Kenge. This virtual experience will launch online beginning Wednesday, February 3 at 7pm (followed by a Q&A with the company) and will be available on demand through February 6, 2021.

The York Theatre Company has announced via twitter that for tonight's show only, Maury Yeston will be stepping in and performing in his musical revue ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE THEATER: THE MUSICAL WORLD OF MAURY YESTON.
The York Theatre Company presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical revue Anything Can Happen in the Theater: The Musical World of Maury Yeston with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. Directed and conceived by Tony Award winner Gerard Alessandrini, the famed creator of Forbidden Broadway (the longest-running revue in Off-Broadway history) and the smash spoof Spamilton, the production has choreography by Gerry McIntyre (York's Hallelujah, Baby!) and music direction by Greg Jarrett (Pacific Overtures). The five-member cast features Benjamin Eakeley (She Loves Me), Jovan E'Sean (The Secret Life of Bees), Alex Getlin (Slay It With Music), Justin Keyes (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), and Mamie Parris (School of Rock).
