Ms. Andresakis began her performing career dancing choreography by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins at the age of nine at Lincoln Center. On Broadway, she performed in A Tribute to Angela Lansbury at the Majestic Theatre. At City Center, she danced works by Alvin Ailey and Mercedes Ellington. Ms. Andresakis has over a hundred credits in New York City, the US and internationally, including the direction and choreography of popular shows such as Little Shop of Horrors, adaptations such as The Little Prince, historical pieces such as Nellie (about the journalist Nellie Bly) and many original works. Highly acclaimed was the Off-Broadway production of The Pearl Diver, based on a Japanese folktale. Having collaborated on six productions for NY Classical Theatre, she has just been named Associate Artist. Sojourns to far-away places include a year in Anchorage as Resident Choreographer for the Alaska Dance Theatre five months in New Delhi India staging The Beatles in India. She recently returned from five months in Shanghai China directing, choreographing and teaching.
