Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced two brand new adult workshops, The Basics of Singing and European History Through The Lens of Opera, begin online via Zoom this spring. The Basics of Singing, led by Amanda Jones, is held Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. starting March 31. Registration is $150 for six sessions; drop-in rates are available for $35 per class.

Retro Productions will present a live benefit reading of The Man Who Came to Dinner by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman on Friday, February 26th at 7pm EST. Proceeds from the 'pay-what-you-will' fundraiser will help fund future Retro productions. The reading is directed by Sara Thigpen and will be presented over Zoom.

Joining this year’s virtual version of the Sundance Film Festival, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) adds Mikel Jollett (Airborne Toxic Event), Pedrito Martinez, Hailey Whitters, Ron and Russell Mael (SPARKS) and The Sparks Brothers director Edgar Wright to the lineup.

After 3 months, Art House Productions has announced the completion of the Jersey City Community Project. In April 2020, Art House Productions embarked on the Jersey City Community Poem Project, seeking submissions from New Jersey-based poets of lines about the theme, Life in the Pandemic and Beyond: Quarantine, Devastation, and Hope for the Future.
