The Stage Door Foundation and Open Jar Studios have announced casting for the first two musicals in The Broadway Workroom Series: Loch Lomond and In The Light, A Faustian Tale.

On Saturday afternoon, Green Room 42 was home to an “experiment” for pianist and composer Kevin Winebold, as the talented musician has been toying with the idea of a monthly variety show. Come Saturday evening, Green Room 42 saw another show teeming with variety - the Australian Theatre Festival (ATF) NYC’s Cabaret!

Antonio Cipriano, Anne Fraser Thomas, and Blaine Krauss join 'Michael Mott & Friends' at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, December 2nd at 7pm in New York City.

Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club and 2022 Tony Awards Honoree for Excellence in the Theatre, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work. This month, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Andy and Orfeh have been making music together for 20 years. And from Saturday Night Fever to Legally Blonde to Pretty Woman and several other shows they co-starred in, they have reigned as Broadway’s hippest married couple. It’s pretty unfair for two people to be so attractive, so talented, so charismatic, so successful, and so in love. Yet it’s impossible to resent their many gifts because they are so willing to share them and they make it all look like such great fun.

Michaeln Mott performs at 54 Below about every six months. Thanks to the pandemic it’s been nearly a year an half since he was last in the august cabaret room. But he was back tonight at last with a new edition of his showcase, MICHAEL MOTT & FRIENDS. And he had lots to show off.

Audiences can expect to witness the live debut of Mott's summer pop EP, The Only One, along with selections from his new album, In The Light, A Faustian Tale. This will be a fun, feel good, celebratory evening of anthemic pop and heart-stirring ballads from one of this generation's best theatrical songwriters.

The Randy Andys Holiday Fête brought sass and spirit in equal measure to Pangea last night. The 'girl group gone retro' is a singing trio of actresses (à la The Andrews Sisters) in rotating formations based on who is in town. They were in full swing last night with 9 of the Andys lending their voices, beauty, and charisma to the show, in addition to a couple of delightful holiday guests.

Since 2015, Adelphi University has given musical theater creators the opportunity to showcase their work with new audiences through the Larson Legacy Concert Series. On Sunday, September 22, Jonathan Larson Grant recipient Andy Roninson, along with a talented cast of musicians and vocalists, will perform songs from his internationally acclaimed podcast TAKE A TEN, as well as never-before-heard material from new musicals in the works.

Up and coming musical theater writer Josh Franklin debuted 12 songs from 3 musicals in New York to a besotted audience.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

The New Group has announced full casting for the Off-Broadway premiere JERRY SPRINGER - THE OPERA with Jennifer Allen, Florrie Bagel, Brandon Contreras, Sean Patrick Doyle, Bradley Greer, Luke Grooms, Nathaniel Hackmann, Billy Hepfinger, Justin Keyes, Beth Kirkpatrick, Elizabeth Loyacano, Tiffany Mann, Jill Paice, Kim Steele and Nichole Turner joining, as previously announced, Terrence Mann and Will Swenson. Jerry Springer The Opera features Music by Richard Thomas and Book & Additional Lyrics by Stewart Lee and Richard Thomas, with Choreography by Chris Bailey. John Rando directs. This production includes Set Design by Derek McLane, Costume Design by Sarah Laux, Lighting Design by Jeff Croiter, Sound Design by John Shivers, Projection Design by Olivia Sebesky, Orchestrations by Greg Anthony Rassen and Music Direction by Michael Brennan. Previews begin January 23 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Thursday, February 22. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through March 11 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).
