How far would you go to protect your family? Follow novelist Allen Grant and his wife Sheila as they race against the clock to save their daughter Cindy, who is forced off the road during a thunderstorm and abducted. The synthesized voice of their daughter and her abductor terrorize Allen, who is scrambling to raise the demanded ransom by the kidnapper's deadline, and Sheila, who is still traumatized by the accident that killed her first husband. With the help of Cindy's boyfriend, Allen and Sheila search for clues to their daughter's whereabouts, hoping that this story will not end in tragedy.
