Contracted through July 2013

All positions are paid. Rehearsal salary - $300/week. Performance salary minimum - $455/week + Per diem, Housing, and Health Insurance.

Seeking excellent, young, athletic dancers who sing to portray the following roles (all should believably be able to play teenagers):

Anita: (mid 20s – early 30s) Sexy, vivacious, & full of life. Must be an excellent dancer. Strong belt to C#. Strong actress. Latina preferred. Must be comfortable speaking Spanish.

The Jet Girls: (18 & up to play late teens – early 20s) Graziella, Velma, Zaza, Mugsy – All-American types. Must be excellent dancers with strong ballet/jazz technique (singing a plus).

The Shark Girls: (18 & up to play late teens – early 20s) Rosalia, Consuela, Fernanda, Hotsie, Bebecita, Alicia – Puerto Rican types. Must be excellent dancers with strong ballet/jazz technique who sing well. All ethnicities strongly encouraged. Must be comfortable speaking Spanish.

Please come prepared to dance with jazz shoes or sneakers, ballet shoes, and heels. Please prepare 16 bars of a musical theatre song from the show or in the style of the show in case you are asked to stay and sing. Bring sheet music in appropriate key. Bring your book of music in case you are asked to sing another selection. ALL actors must bring a headshot and resume stapled together.
