But such debacles are not merely the stuff of farcical fiction, but also the real live events that have been captured in "Opening Night Mutiny," a show written by two York natives that will run Jan 25 to Feb 10 at the Players' Ring in Portsmouth.

New Hampshire Theatre Project's provocative Elephant-in-the-Room Series opens its second season with the topic of Eating Disorders & Body Image, featuring a reading of Linda Daugherty's play Eat: It's Not About Food by seacoast actors and teens. The script dramatizes the dangerous and confusing world of eating disorders in women and men, girls and boys, exploring causes, warning signs, and the influences of both society and the media on this too often tragic issue.
The Weathervane Theatre Will Present INTERNS INCONCERT: SPRING AWAKENING

The Weathervane Theatre in Whitefield, NH and Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini will expand programming in 2019. The new Interns InConcert Series will kick off with a presentation of the Tony Award winning musical Spring Awakening. Based on the 1891 play by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening features Book and Lyrics by Steven Sater and a score by Duncan Sheik. Premiering on Broadway in 2008, it won 8 Tony Awards including Best Score, Best Book and Best Musical. A recent revival was also Tony nominated for Best Musical Revival. Marisa Kirby will direct and choreograph.
TWELFTH NIGHT Comes to The Hatbox

Carouse with us for Twelfth Night, a festive comedy in which characters contemplate love and loss while they try to drown their sorrows in music (and drink). Three Witches Productions presents Twelfth Night February 1-17. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm. Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini has announced Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks as the 2nd show in the 2019 54th Season. This funny and touching Broadway hit by Richard Alfieri, Six Dance Lessons joins the rotating repertory on July 10. This title joins the already announced Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, The Drowsy Chaperone, Bright Star, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Sister Act. Cast, creative team and a full schedule will be announced shortly. Season 54 officially opens on July 6 with the annual Bubble and Squeak. Performances continue for 8 weeks through August 31 culminating in audience favorite Best Of. Other programming including Patchwork Players, will be announced in the coming weeks.
