The Palace Theatre of Manchester, New Hampshire is celebrating the opening of their 2009-2010 Citizens Bank Performing Arts Series with their 3rd Annual Wine Tasting & Live Auction Event at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. The cast of 'Forever Plaid', the musical that will be playing at the Palace Theatre September 18-October 3, will provide entertainment for the evening.

New Hampshire magician BJ Hickman remembers watching Japanese magician Shimada on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. He was on Carson?s show four times. Shimada has earned the prestige of being the most awarded and celebrated magician in the history of magic. ?He has always been one of my favorites,? according to Hickman. ?Shimada has performed on hundreds of TV shows, in Las Vegas, and all over the world.? The International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) honored Shimada at their annual convention this year. Hickman was on the same bill.

For its sixth season, the NorthEast Shakespeare Ensemble will present Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors in repertory with Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, at the Lebanon Opera House from June 18 through July 4. These two classic plays will showcase the versatile talents of NESE's acting Company: Comedy is a fast-paced popular delight, full of puns, wordplay and slapstick humor, and one of the funniest plays the Bard ever wrote; in contrast, Godot is a tragicomedy, where 'nothing' happens, but audiences still stay glued to their seats.
