Director Elaine Gatchell announces open auditions for the dramatic comedy "Harvey", to be performed the last weekend in March and the first weekend in April, 2010, at Leddy Center's new beautiful theater on Ladd's Lane in Epping.

Auditions are being held this Saturday, November 21, beginning at 9:00am by appointment. Just call Leddy Center at 603-679-2781, Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm to make your appointment to audition.

The story is about an affable man Elwood P. Dowd and his imaginary friend Harvey, a six-foot, three-and-one-half-inch tall rabbit. When Elwood starts to introduce Harvey, a pooka, to guests at a society party, his society-obsessed sister, Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter Myrtle Mae and their family from future embarrassment.

This show calls for 6 women and six men of varying ages. The movie version starred James Stewart. All parts are open.

The Leddy Center is a non-profit New Hampshire Arts and Education organization.
