The Ohio Players Come to MotorCity Casino Hotel 6/10

The Ohio Players, a funk and R&B band, has over forty Top 40 hits. The band's first big hit single reached #1 on Billboard's R&B Chart and Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, selling over one million copies. In 1975 and 1976 the band had three more #1 hits on both the R&B and pop charts. The Ohio Players have been awarded a gold disc four times by the R.I.A.A., each for a record selling at least one million copies.

Opening for The Ohio Players is Detroit's own Kimmie Horne. A native Detroiter, Kimmie Horne is one of the most outstanding artists to emerge from this area in years. Her distinctive voice coupled with an unmatched ability to entertain puts her in a category of her own.
