The company, which traditionally serves 40,000 audience members from September to August at its historic opera house home in downtown Bangor, Maine, will present an eclectic, full season, exclusively online. Good Theater will not reopen until sometime in 2021. Concerns for public safety, as well as the safety and well-being of our cast, crew and staff, is what brought us to this decision. We are eager to reopen, and we are committed to opening with Desperate Measures, the musical which was in rehearsal at the time of closures due to COVID-19.

Students ages 4 to 18 will have the opportunity to participate in a full theatrical experience while maintaining the safety of sheltering in place at home. Ben Layman, Director of Education said 'We are so excited to pair with our own beloved teachers as well as local and regional artists to provide this innovative program. There is something for everyone, and we couldn't be happier to be able to maintain student safety and provide challenging and fun content!' All classes will be offered though the Zoom format and end in a streaming performance experience.
