THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD Opens At Hackmatack Playhouse, Runs Thru 8/8

The Mystery of Edwin Drood opened last night (July 29) (this week) at Hackmatack Playhouse in Berwick. The Mystery of Edwin Drood was the Charles Dickens' novel left unfinished at the time of Dickens' death. The audience is polled toward the end of the second act and with some comedy by-play, the audience decides the fate of the ending.
Acorn Productions Announces an Expanded Schedule of Free ?Intro to Acting? Workshops for Kids and Adults

Acorn Productions announces an expanded schedule of free 'Intro to Acting' workshops for kids and adults this September. The company will offer two sessions for adults and three for kids grades K - 12. Acorn's Producing Director Michael Levine conducts both sessions, which are designed to provide beginning and continuing actors with an introduction to the actor's craft as well as a sense of what transpires during a full-length acting class.

The late Ethal Merman starred in the musical Anything Goes when it opened on Broadway in 1934. The farce is set below decks on an ocean liner bound from London to New York City.
