Ogunquit Playhouse Announces New Board Members

The Ogunquit Playhouse is pleased to announce the appointment of five new members to the Board of Directors. The Playhouse Foundation Board members recently held their Annual Meeting at Clay Hill Farm where Bob Appis, owner of the Egg and I in Ogunquit, Nancy Conklin from North Hampton, New Hampshire, Mark Forsyth from Rye, New Hampshire, Michael Severance from Kennebunkport, Fran Spechts from Ogunquit and Mark Wilcox, publisher of the Weekly Sentinel were appointed to a three-year term.

The Playhouse recently honored retiring Board members, Karen Maxwell, Elizabeth Hirshom and Noel Leary, who each served on the Board for many years. Ogunquit Playhouse Board of Directors, President, Jeffrey Troiano presented each with a plaque in honor of their many years of service, support and dedication to the theatre:

Jeff remarked of Karen Maxwell, who in addition to her many years on the Board also served as President and Advisory Committee Chair, "As a founding member of the Ogunquit Playhouse Foundation, Karen's dedication, vision, and leadership has laid a solid foundation for the future."

To Elizabeth Hirshom, "Elizabeth's foresight, get it done attitude and her genuine love for The Playhouse has made it a better place for all to enjoy."

And to Noel Leary, "We thank Noel for his thoughtful guidance, his insightful perspective and his unending positive attitude."

The Ogunquit Playhouse is honored to have had such dedicated leadership throughout the years and looks forward to working with the new Board members, knowing their experience and background will contribute to the growth and longevity of the historic Ogunquit Playhouse.
