THE MOST FABULOUS STORY EVER TOLD Hits The Roundtable Theatre Company 10/9-11, 10/16-18
By: Reynard Loki
The Roundtable Theatre Company announces their premiere production: The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told by Paul Rudnick.
“God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.”The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told recounts the true story of creation- that of Adam and Steve, the world’s first couple. When Adam’s curiosity gets them kicked out of Eden, they meet Jane and Mabel, the other first couple, and begin a bawdy romp from the Old Testament through modern day New York City. Along the way they encounter questions of faith, relationships, and mortality. Rudnick spares no one with his humor, and everyone is sure to laugh at this alternate take on history. Due to sexual humor, this production is recommended for mature audiences.Forum discussions will be held after each performance for audience members to share their reactions to the play and the Marriage Equality Referendum pending in Maine. These forums will also feature local LGBT activists to contribute to the discussion.Photo by Jason Steelman
