Maine State Music Theater has announced its line-up for summer 2010. The titles include: "Always... Patsy Cline," "My Fair Lady," "Chicago," and "Monty Python's Spamalot." The season will begin on June 9th and run through August 28th. This will be MSMT's 52nd summer season presenting professional musical theatre at the Pickard Theater in Brunswick, Maine. The season will also be a celebration of Artistic Director, Chuck Abbott's 20th year.

"Always... Patsy Cline" includes a collection of Patsy's most popular tunes including Walkin' After Midnight, I Fall To Pieces, Sweet Dreams and of course Crazy. The show is a visit to Patsy's life and career as told through the eyes of a Houston housewife who got to know this talented country star. MSMT's production will run from June 9th until June 26th.

"My Fair Lady" is a classic title that MSMT has not produced for fifteen years. This show includes some of musical theatre's most beloved tunes like I Could Have Danced All Night, Wouldn't It Be Loverly and Get Me To The Church On Time. Recognizable characters like Eliza Doolittle, Professor Henry Higgins and Colonel Pickering will be brought to new life on MSMT's stage with style and elegance from June 30th until July 17th.

"Chicago" was produced at MSMT eight years ago but was highly requested on an audience survey conducted by MSMT last summer. Therefore the theatre has secured the rights to produce the show again. The characters Roxy Hart and Velma Kelly will liven the stage with their murderous deeds and exciting Fosse choreography. See this title from July 21st through August 7th.

"Monty Python's Spamalot" is a musical based on the 1975 film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This hysterical show centers around the Lady of the Lake and the Knights of the Round Table including Arthur, Galahad, Lancelot, Sir Robin and who could forget the Knights who say "Ni"? "Spamalot" was the title that ranked number one on MSMT's summer audience survey and will be presented from August 11th until August 28th.

Season tickets are on sale now. Early bird prices are effect until October 30th. Single tickets will go on sale in early spring. Contact the box office at (207) 725-8769 or visit www.msmt.org for more information.

Also in the works for 2010 is a concert version of the acclaimed musical "Rent" as well as children's programming and other events to celebrate Chuck Abbott's anniversary. Those events are in the planning stages and will be announced when plans are finalized.
