Ridgefield Theater Barn Presents FORTUNE and WHOSE BARN IS IT ANYWAY?, 7/27 & 8/7
Ridgefield Theater Barn presents two great programs for a mid-summer break in the heat on July 27th & August 7th.
First up is the next program in our new play reading series.
Fortune
A Three Act Play with Music
Written and Directed by José Helú
Musical Direction by Larissa Friedenberg
Tuesday, July 27 at 7:30 pm
Fortune is the tragic story of good intentions gone awry. Simon, a disillusioned artist who has taken up Tarot, learns the true secret of the cards while he is doing a reading for an art gallery being renovated by Jolene, the girl he fancies. When things start going badly, he uses his newfound knowledge to alter the future, but each attempt has unintended consequences which threaten to destroy all he is after. The poison spreads as others discover the power, and the price must be paid.
Our staged reading series gives local playwrights an opportunity to have their work presented in a professional atmosphere and provides constructive feedback via a talkback session with the audience immediately following the performance.
Admission is free and no reservations are needed. Doors open 1/2 hour prior to show time. Seating is theater style. Refreshments, including wine, soda, cheese & crackers, as well as coffee and dessert items will be provided. A $2 donation to cover the cost of refreshments is requested.
