The Cleveland Orchestra presents 'Vivacious Viola' PNC Musical Rainbow Concerts, 11/30 & 12/1

Cleveland Orchestra violist Lisa Boyko will introduce children ages 3-6 to "The Vivacious Viola" in PNC Musical Rainbow concerts, held in Severance Hall's Reinberger Chamber Hall. Viola students from El Sistema@Rainey will perform with Ms. Boyko during the program. There will be one performance on Friday, November 30, at 10 a.m., and two Saturday performances, Saturday, December 1, at 10 a.m. and Saturday, December 1, at 11 a.m. Local actress and singer Maryann Nagel hosts the 30-minute programs for young children, which include narration, demonstration, short solo selections, and audience participation.

Lewis, with its highest award, the PlayhouseSquare Star Award for Achievement in the Performing Arts, at its annual Chairman's Dinner on Monday night. Beck Center for the Arts will welcome the popular independent cafe Gypsy Beans to their campus. The coffee shop and bistro opens at 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 1. Beck Center is located on the west end of Lakewood at 17801 Detroit Avenue. In addition to metered street parking, free onsite parking is available in the lots east and south of Beck Center's Main Building.
