Celtic Thunder Holiday Concert Comes To PlayhouseSquare 12/6

Described by the New York Times as "a Fab Five peddling Celtic stylings," CELTIC THUNDER consists of five dashing, talented Irishmen whose specials have been a popular staple on Public Television. They make their first PlayhouseSquare appearance as part of "The Celtic Thunder Heritage and Christmas Tour," December 6th at 7:30 pm at PlayhouseSquare's Palace Theatre

Celtic Thunder will perform their heart-warming interpretations of holiday favorites, combining cherished standards from their Christmas CD (2010) along with the quintessential songs from their Irish roots and current hit CD & DVD, Heritage. Celtic Thunder's amazing vocals are complemented by the visuals of their high-energy stage presence.

Since the airing of their first Public Television special in 2008, Celtic Thunder consistently remains one of the most popular musical acts for the network. In addition to their impressive sales stats of selling over one million units combined, their official YouTube channel, "Thunder Tube" has received nearly 18 million upload views since its inception in 2008.

Celtic Thunder enjoyed the distinct honor of performing for President Obama at The White House's St. Patrick's Day celebration in 2009, and they also opened New York City's famed St. Patrick's Day Parade on 5th Avenue two consecutive years (2008 & 2009). In addition to appearing in five hugely successful Public Television specials and their multiple appearances on QVC, Celtic Thunder has also performed on Fox & Friends, Today Show, CBS Early Show's Saturday Second Cup Café and numerous regional shows in major cities across America.
