The Noble Fool Theatricals Performing Arts Academy invites local teens ages 13 - 19 to audition for a role in the summer play of Fame at Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; admin telephone 630-443-0438).
Open auditions will be held on the Preservation Hall Studio Stage at Pheasant Run on Friday, June 4, from 4:30 - 6:30pm or Saturday, June 5 from 1:00 - 3:00pm. No appointment is necessary.Interested youth should prepare and memorize a one-minute monologue that best displays their talent. Auditionees may also be asked to do a cold reading from the script. Everyone should bring a headshot and a resume to the audition."Right here" is the School of Performing Arts in New York City, and the first problem for the young people eager to start paying their dues in pursuit of fame in the performing arts is to get accepted. These applicants have nothing in common but a compelling dream and each pursues it in a special way just as each must deal with the special problems of their various lives.
