Local robotics guru, Sam Brenner, will lead kids through a series of stations to design and program a Wobbly-bot. Learn about robots and engineering as participants build their very own fun robot with a vibrating motor. (Ages 9 - 13)

Working with award winning costume designer, Stephanie Jones, students will learn the importance of movement in acting and learn to create a character with Movement and Masks. In this innovative class, students will bring a plain face mask to life with their own original character by decorating their mask in combination with creating a story, character and short skit. (Ages 9 - 13)

Pick and choose from DreamWrights' Monday Night Workshop Series:

Mini Directing Workshop Designed for those with some prior directing experience, this mini workshop will explore creating and staging short, text based scenes. Participants will have the opportunity to direct, and also be in role as actors for each other. (Ages 16 - adult)

Theatre Career Panel This evening of dialogue with theater professionals throughout the nation will connect participants and professionals through a moderated panel discussion and Q&A time. From actors to designers, get first hand advice, have the opportunity to make a connection, and have questions answered. (Ages 13-adult)

Introduction to the Art of Belly Dance Using a mixture of belly dance and African dance movements, students will learn a series of combinations to the song "Circle Of Life" from The Lion King. No experience necessary. (Ages 13 - adult)

Intro to Technical Projection Use VPT7 to put up multiple images and movies, warped to match the shapes on the stage. Project from way off to the side. Interact with the projections. Imagination (and perhaps the cost of the software) is the limit! (Ages 13 - adult)

In collaboration with Weary Arts Group, DreamWrights presents A Conversation with Lysistrata 2017. This active evening will include excerpts and short scenes from the production of Lysistrata 2017, along with a dialectical exchange with the director and cast about the power and themes found in this classic Greek comedy updated to be relevant in the 21st century. Written by Aristophanes and originally performed in ancient Greece in 414 BC, Lysistrata is a comic account of one woman's extraordinary mission of persuasion. Reinterpreted for 2017, this performance will present current social issues in a way that make people think, and encourage them to come together to find common ground. (Ages teens - adult. Some content may not be suitable for all audiences.)

A Journey through StAGEs will build a map or landscape of creative, story-based encounters using a multi-art, integrative approach to meaning-making with elders. Using improvisational exercises and short-form narrative-based exercises, participants will develop theatrical scenes. No experience required! 2016 Nonprofit Innovations Award winner and Creative Impact Award recipient. (Ages 50 and up)
