DreamWrights Center for Community Arts presents Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris.
Two generations. One house. Fifty years apart. In this sharp, darkly funny play, neighbors clash over race, class, and change—first in 1959 and again in 2009. As the same home becomes the center of two very different conversations, tensions rise and history echoes forward in uncomfortable and revealing ways.
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Clybourne Park is a provocative and incisive look at America’s neighborhoods, exposing the ways our language, assumptions, and unresolved conflicts continue to shape the stories we tell—and avoid telling—about ourselves.
