Red Yarn Announces Summer Concert Tour All are welcome in Red Yarn's Old Barn! Red Yarn (aka Andy Furgeson), an Austin-born, Portland-based family folksinger and puppeteer, announces a slew of summer concert dates, celebrating the release of his fifth album, Red Yarn's Old Barn. At these engaging music and puppet shows, the award-winning family performer invites audiences of all ages to sing, dance, stomp and clap along with traditional and original folk songs. With help from his "critter" friends - lovable, handmade animal puppets - Red Yarn is spreading messages of inclusion and acceptance, along with an appreciation for the folk tradition.

In addition to library performances all around the Pacific Northwest, Red Yarn will bring his trunk full of barnyard critters to several national family music series: Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, CO, Kidchella in Philadelphia, PA, and C-ville Family Jams in Charlottesville, VA. The Red Yarn Band will return to family-friendly Oregon festivals Pickathon and Family Forest Fest. Portland fans can find Red Yarn and the Critters at several Multnomah County Library branches throughout the summer.

Red Yarn is also proud to announce his debut performances at this year's Austin City Limits Festival, where he and his family band will appear on the "Austin Kiddie Limits" stage on October 5 and 6.

With seven originals, four reinterpreted traditionals, and a honky tonk cover song, Red Yarn's Old Barn tells of an epic barn dance where critters of all kinds are welcome. Like his previous album releases, Red Yarn's Old Barn has won national critical acclaim and radio play.
