The group's latest project was focused on frosting, and resulted insevennew recipes for BettyCrocker.com that bringfrostingfrom the sidelines to the center stage, with a supporting cast of other ingredients.

Kristen Olson, a senior digital planner for The Kitchens of General Mills, talks aboutthat in thisvideoclip.

"We took it upon ourselves to start baking with frosting. Something we'd never really done before," Olson explained."We wanted to make it the star of the recipe instead of just being an added ingredient on the top. We wanted to see how we couldmix it orbake it in."

And while frosting is great on top of cookies and cakes, General Mills' team offood professionals challenged themselvesto find ways tofurther integrate the ingredient into popular recipes in unconventional ways.

Scratch frosting is one of the most commonly searched for recipes, especially on BettyCrocker.com, during the holidays.
