It's a quirky love letter to dreams, relationships and learning life lessons. Based on a Totally True Story will perform weekends September 16 to October 8.

As an imperious, acerbic old woman lies dying, she is tended by two other women and visited by a young man. Albee's frank dialogue about everything from incontinence to infidelity portrays aging without sentimentality. His scenes are charged with the most amazing wit, pain and laughter. His probing portrait of the three women reveals Albee's genius. These 'tall women' lay bare the truths of our lives: how we live, how we love, what we settle for, and how we die.

The Baltimore premiere of Lisa D'Amour's lyrical fairytale play with music, Anna Bella Eema, kicks things off with a three-week run under Kilburn's direction, October 7-22, 2011.
