Jared Fessler

Jared is originally from Iowa and now lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up surrounded by the performing arts, which sparked an early and lasting connection to theatre. His training spans music, dance, and theatre, including BFA-level musical theatre work. He holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Communications with coursework in Music and Theatre, as well as a master’s degree in Organizational Management and Public Administration.

Some of his favorite stage experiences include State Fair, Oliver, Guys and Dolls, Working, Damn Yankees, A Chorus Line, and The Crucible (opera).

Professionally, Jared works in workforce development and IT. He is also an accomplished photographer and a commercial model, having appeared in numerous advertisements for large corporate companies. While his career has taken him beyond the stage, his love for the arts remains central to his life—he regularly attends productions, participates in workshops, and occasionally performs.

A longtime reader of Broadway World, Jared has come full circle as the platform now features his own work, reflecting the role theatre continues to play in his life.

There’s a reason CHICAGO keeps coming back to Broadway—and to Minneapolis. Seeing it at the Orpheum Theatre this past week reminded everyone why this show has stayed at the top for decades: it’s sharp, funny, sexy, and endlessly entertaining. From the moment the lights dimmed, you could feel the excitement in the room.

Review: OF THE ORCHARD at 7th St Entry
January 23, 2026

It was freezing on January 22. Not “kind of cold,” but the kind of Minneapolis cold that makes you rethink your plans. Still, people showed up. And once everyone packed into 7th Entry—that small room tucked under First Avenue—it didn’t take long for the cold to fade into the background.

On a cold January night in Minneapolis, the State Theatre felt anything but wintery. As Celtic Throne II—Psalter of Ireland unfolded on January 18, 2026, the audience was carried into a world of ancient history, pulsing music, and remarkable young talent.

Review: SHUCKED at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis
Review: SHUCKED at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis
January 7, 2026

At first glance, Shucked doesn’t seem like a show that should work. A Broadway musical about corn, packed with puns and country music, sounds like it might wear thin fast. But during its stop at the Orpheum Theatre, this touring production proves that beneath the dad jokes and folksy charm is a surprisingly smart and generous piece of musical theatre.
