Adapted from Tove Jansson’s short story The Fir Tree, the creative team at Jackson’s Lane have collaborated with organisation Moomin Characters and the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland, to produce a festive spectacle, concerned with wonder, discovery, joy and the pure kindness of giving.

Comedy Club 4 Kids Christmas Cracker Show at The Arts Depot is a family comedy show aimed at inclusive comedy, without the rude bits and swearing, for children aged 6+. Well known in their field for physical storytelling, Tall Stories promise to retell the classic Donaldson and Scheffler spooky and sweet special with glee.

It's no doubt very different kind of crowd than he may have become accustomed to, but one he is entirely comfortable with and rather fond of.

Tom Brace: The Ride 4D opens with Brace bounding onto the stage, setting up the premise for the hour of magic and dreams. He introduces us to ‘Tomland’, a theme park he claims is entirely his own creation, with a wink and a nod to certain other famous theme parks.

Fairburn fulfils the show’s title by appearing in a fabulous sequin jumpsuit and fluorescent tassels, entering to warm and rapturous applause. The set begins and the laughs are instantaneous in response to Fairburn’s winning, vibrant personality and blunt outlook of no-nonsense social commentary, which sets the tone for the duration. Fairburn’s presence is commanding, thrilling and utterly addictive.

Licari sets a joyful tone immediately upon entry, welcoming her audience as they enter indulging in some dancing to the music, to which she shouts in explanation “I’m Italian!” We learn of Licari’s love for running, rule-breaking, feminism and English men.
