A German Requiem is one of the world's great masterpieces of choral/orchestral literature. Composed to texts selected by Brahms, the work is a deeply personal statement and offering of consolation and comfort to the living. In fact, Brahms preferred the name "A Human Requiem." In keeping with his original intent, MOS will perform this masterwork in English.
This concert will be performed with the full 130-voice MOS chorus, a 44-piece professional orchestra and soloists Jana Young and John LaForge.
