From the minds that created the critically acclaimed improv format The Doug Dank Project comes The Last Seen Festival. At 8pm on February 17, 18, and 19 an ensemble of some of the most talented improvisers in North America will meet at Dad's Garage to create completely new works every night. The previous two Last Seen Improv Festivals have created some of the coolest and brightest moments in Atlanta improv and this year's festival promises to do the same thing. Check out the breakdown:
Thursday, February 17: The Last Seen Film Project
3 teams of improvisers and filmmakers will each be filming a short film. Each section of the 3-part movie is projected live as the tapes come in. (The audience should bring a fun item from home that they'd like to see the improvisers use in their films.)
Friday, February 18: The Last Seen Rumble
Improvisers from all around Atlanta will be mixing it up with the festival ensemble.
Saturday, February 19: The Last Seen Hot Seat
In this long-form improv show, the action is fueled by personal interviews with the improvisers. The audience and the other performers ask the improviser in the "Hot Seat" questions about their lives, their views, their hopes and fears, and the honest answers inform the scenes. As more improvisers take the "Hot Seat," the stories start to weave together and a world is created, based on the personal responses given by the performers.
