THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE DEATHS OF CAROL O'GRADY To Play Performance Run At HERE

Following its run at this year's New York International Fringe Festival, Frank Murdocco's The Public and Private Deaths of Carol O'Grady is playing 7 performances over 3 weeks at HERE, with performances beginning November 27th, 2018. The play follows several residents of a Long Island suburb, whose lives are turned upside down when Carol O'Grady is found brutally murdered in her home on Christmas Eve. What follows are those around her desperately trying to make sense of this tragedy. As they begin to deal with this loss, they are forced to confront their own intrinsically complex lives. Murdocco, who also serves as the writer, plays every character in this 55-minute solo piece. It received its World Premiere at Stony Brook University last May, followed by its New York City Premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival in October. Jessica DiPaola will direct this mounting with additional directing from Lindsey Smith and Heath Canfield. Erin Ganley serves as assistant director. It will play at HERE's MainStage, located at 145 Sixth Avenue, New York, NY.

This production is a part of SubletSeries@HERE: Co-op, HERE's curated rental program which provides artists with subsidized space and equipment, as well as technical support. The piece is set to play 7 performances: November 27th & 28th and December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, all at 8:30 pm. Tickets are all $20 each and can be purchased through the HERE Box Office, at www.here.org or 212-352-310. More information on the show can be found at www.carologrady.com.
