Paris Hilton And Nicky Hilton Rothschild To Present At 30th Annual Colleagues Spring Luncheon

The 30TH Annual Colleagues Spring Luncheon will honor Jane Seymour with The Colleagues Champion of Children Award and Oscar de la Renta's (ODLR) Co-Creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for their contribution to American design. Actor Joe Lando will be presenting Seymour with her award which honors her lasting impact on the lives of children. Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton Rothschild will be presenting Kim & Garcia with their award to salute their continued contributions to American design, the world of fashion and recognize the House of Oscar de la Renta for their longstanding partnership with the Los Angeles Colleagues and their tradition of philanthropy through fashion. Kim and Garcia were an essential part of Oscars legacy and are now managing the future of one of the most revered international design houses and launching their own complex and utterly original design house at the same time.

The luncheon will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 17th at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and will include a fashion show from Oscar de la Renta's Fall 2018 collection designed by Kim and Garcia.

Seymour joins an impressive list of prior Champion of Children Award recipients including former First Ladies Nancy Reagan, Betty Ford and Laura Bush and her two daughters Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Bush-Hager, Carol Burnett, Roma Downey, Princess Charlene of Monaco, James and Gloria Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren, Anjelica Huston and Robert Graham, California First Lady Maria Shriver, Annette Bening and Warren Beatty.

Founded in 1950, The Colleagues, a 501c3 non-profit corporation, are a group of 65 active women and over 25 sustaining members who volunteer their time and expertise to support and raise funds for their sole beneficiary, the Children's Institute, Inc. In their efforts to serve Los Angeles' most vulnerable children harmed by community and family violence, abuse and neglect, the Colleagues have donated over $25 million to CII through their high-end resale and vintage clothing shop and their annual spring luncheon. In addition to direct services, CII reaches more children through professional training, research and other leadership activities working with more than 24,000 children and families each year. A multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winning actress, author, motivational speaker and recipient of the Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the year 2000, which was bestowed upon her by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, Jane Seymour has proven her talents in virtually all media, the Broadway stage, motion pictures and television. Seymour can next be seen as the matriarch of a competitive aerobics family in the biting comedy Let's Get Physical for PopTV. She also stars in the upcoming film The War with Grandpa with Robert De Niro. Seymour is well known for her role in The Wedding Crashers where she plays Christopher Walken's sexually charged wife where she showcased her comedy skills making her a go to star for memorable guest spots in top comedy shows including How I Met Your Mother and Jane the Virgin. Seymour received a Golden Globe for her role as Dr. Quinn in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. She also originated the role of Constanza in the Broadway hit Amadeus. Other film, tv & theatre credits include Live and Let Die, Somewhere in Time, War and Remembrance, The Scarlet Pimpernel, East of Eden. Jane is a member of the American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet, is an International Ambassador for Childhelp, a national organization dedicated to the research, treatment and prevention of child abuse. In addition to the charitable work that Seymour does with these notable organizations, in 2010 she launched the Open Hearts Foundation. The Foundation's mission is based upon selfless giving even in the face of adversity, into communities worldwide. The Foundation provides funds to charitable organizations in the areas of Health, Arts, Education, Sports, and honors individuals that exemplify the Open Heart Philosophy in their service to others.

Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have been Oscar de la Renta's creative directors since 2017 and made their debut for ODLR's Fall 2017 collection in February 2017. A native of Seoul, Korea, Kim attended the Pratt Institute in New York where she studied in their fashion design program. She began her career at ODLR in 2003 working closely with Mr. de la Renta as his design director. Garcia, who was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and had been drawn to the creative field and fashion at an early age, studied architecture at Notre Dame before meeting Mr. de la Renta and began working at ODLR in 2009 eventually becoming principal designer. In 2015 Kim & Garcia left and founded fashion line Monse but returned to ODLR as creative directors in 2017.

Oscar de la Renta is one of the world's leading luxury goods brands. The New York based house, established in 1965 by its namesake, and currently under the creative direction of Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, produces a full line of women's shoes, handbags, jewelry, eyewear, bridal, childrenswear, home décor and fragrance, in addition to its signature women's ready-to-wear collection.

The luncheon is executive produced by Gary L. Pudney, and produced and directed by Tony-Award winning Scott H. Mauro for the fifth consecutive year.
