A Raw Material and Capital Theatres co-production, James V: Katherine continues the theatrical series with the vivid historical storytelling of the previous instalments, set during the reigns of Scotland’s generations of Stewart kings. James V places a lesser-known female historical figure front and centre in the story, with an intimate and up-close performance with focussed, raw and humorous storytelling, directed by Orla O’Loughlin (Enough Of Him / What Girls Are Made Of / Mouthpiece).

Today’s subject Katherine Goforth is someone who can definitely be called a breakthrough artist to be sure. She is the inaugural recipient of Washington National Opera’s True Voice Award for transgender and non-binary singers. She will be making her Kennedy Center debut on May first at 6:00pm with a recital on Millenium Stage.

On Friday, February 23rd, Leesa Howard got a call mid-shift at Theatre Cafe Diner, asking her to play Catherine Howard in the evening performance of West End's SIX The Musical. Read more about Tulley's last-minute performance here!

Indie pop singer-songwriter Katherine Li releases on Valentine's Day her sophomore EP, love, k. The project was written by Li and produced by close collaborator Joe Avio. The focus track off of the project is “Fell First, Fell Hard” and Li will release a music video for the single this Friday. 

Li's first EP Crush[ed] which was released last year showed fans the evolution of her raw and honest songwriting capabilities since posting videos to TikTok in 2020. The singles from the EP, (apart from 'I Don't Care') were featured on American Eagle's music-focused back-to-school campaign for the fall, creating a short film.

Sean Connor, Catriona Faint, Benjamin Osugo, and Alyth Ross will star in James V: Katherine this Spring.
