The irreverent romp The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Northern Stage’s first live and in-person production since October of 2020, is now in performance through July 4, 2022, at the newly-built outdoor Courtyard Theater directly behind Northern Stage’s Barrette Center for the Arts.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is a play written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield. It parodies the plays of William Shakespeare with all of them being performed in comically shortened or merged form by only three actors.

The play, written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1987 and went on to 9 record breaking years on London's West End, and has since been the world's most performed stage parody for the last 32 years.
