How it basically works is, Randy Jackson did his only work of the season by playing stenographer as each contestant recommended songs for everyone else in the competition. Randy then handed pieces of paper to all seven remaining finalists, who subsequently picked their song for the week based off of that list.

by BWW News Desk

(4/17/2014) - Directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro, the new Broadway production of Of Mice and Men officially opened last night, April 16, 2014 at the Longacre Theatre, to mostly positive reviews from the critics. James Franco, who stars as George in the play, wasn't satisfied with a review by New York Times theatre critic Ben Brantley. Franco recently wrote a comment about the review from his official Instagram account (which has since been removed), which was captured by Vanity Fair's Richard Lawson. Franco writes: Sadly Ben Brantley and the NYT have embarrassed themselves. Brantley is such a little bitch he should be working for Gawker.com instead of the paper of record. The theatre community hate him, and for good reason, he's an idiot.

And capturing those temporary masterpieces doesn't just happen in novelty emails forwarded around the world. The Denver Chalk Art Festival on May 31 and June 1, 2014 will feature more than 200 chalk artists at work, and no place puts spectators in a more convenient position to watch them than the festival's sponsor, the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown.

BWW Reviews: Mustard Seed Theatre's Revival of FALLING Well Worth RevisitingBWW Reviews: Mustard Seed Theatre's Revival of FALLING Well Worth Revisiting
by Chris Gibson (St. Louis)

(4/17/2014) - It's been a couple of years since playwright Deanna Jent's FALLING debuted here in St. Louis, and since then it's been published, and gone on to receive rave reviews on both coasts. FALLING's impact has been a wonderful thing to witness from afar, and so it's especially nice that we get the opportunity to revisit the play in Mustard Seed Theatre's current production. This was challenging and rewarding must-see theatre when I reviewed it in 2011, and I can assure you that my opinion is even stronger. This is a powerful piece that raises a number of important questions.

Times, Variety and Rolling Stone. The band will exercise their comedic chops at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, May 17, at 8 p.m. Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented.
