"Finally, we have a place to call home," says Producing Artistic Director Grant McGowen who landed a new theater across the street from the popular farm table restaurant Ration & Dram. McGowen has seen a number of Atlanta venues including the Hertz Stage, 14th Street Playhouse, 7Stages, and most recently a Church basement in the Virginia Highlands.

"Now we can produce what we want, when we want, and there is extra motivation to work hard because we have rent to pay." In addition to having theatre productions, McGowen plans on having a film festival and acting classes in the new space.

The company has announced two productions, the wild and funny satire Pizza Man by Darlene Craviotto and the critically acclaimed The Shape Of Things, which became the mark of award-winning playwright Neil LaBute and perhaps one of his most renown plays about self image. Pinch 'n' Ouch has already proven a fondness for LaBute's writing, having produced Reasons To Be Pretty, Autobahn, and Some Girls.

McGowen is set to direct his former Wall Street Wedding castmate Jackie Costello in Pizza Man. "This play is wrong on so many levels and perhaps that's why it's fun. Jackie is a delight to work with. You're assured a good time when she's in the room."

"Since the company's arrival to Atlanta in 2010, Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre has set a high standard in delivering impassioned productions of sharp, trendy scripts such as Kenneth Lonergan's Lobby Hero, Stephen Belber's Tape, and Leslye Headland's Bachelorette", wrote Creative Loafing. The name "pinch and ouch" was coined by the great American acting teacher Sanford Meisner, who inspired artists to work truthfully and move audiences.

Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre's most recent production of Wall Street Wedding, a world premiere by Grant McGowen, was named "Best World Premiere of 2014" by ArtsAtl.com.
