Point Park University's The REP Professional Theatre Company will present Woody's Order!, Pittsburgh native, Ann Talman's solo show about life choices and the importance of family and pursuing your dreams.

Directed by John Shepard, performances run February 3- 19, 2017 in the Studio Theatre at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, 222 Craft Avenue. Performance times include Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Adult tickets are $24-29, senior tickets are $15, and student tickets are $10, and can be purchased by calling the Pittsburgh Playhouse box office at 412-392-8000 or visiting www.pittsburghplayhouse.com. An American Sign Language (ASL) performance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2p.m.

Talman's career spans from Broadway (The Little Foxes, alongside Elizabeth Taylor), to film (Serendipity, Limitless) to TV (Seinfeld, General Hospital), and now to playwriting, where she shares her life story with its tears as well as its laughter. Ann has returned to her hometown where she was inspired to write and perform the show for the premiere of Woody's Order!. Personal home videos will welcome patrons upon entry into the theatre to transport the audience into Ann and Woody's world as Ann takes them on a journey through her memories.

Woody, always planning ahead, was eight and an only child when he conjured a sibling the only way a bright, nonverbal, cerebral palsied boy could - he pointed to Mom's tummy and Dad's... lap and waved his hands like wands. The result: Ann, nicknamed: Woody's Order!, assigned a destiny - "To be thy brother's keeper just in case..." Woody dreamed she'd always be there if he needed her. She dreamed of Broadway. Join Ann, Woody, mom, dad and a hilarious cast of characters including Elizabeth Taylor who help Ann discover: How do you live your OWN life, when you are Woody's order?

"This is a universal story of the love that enables an all-American family to face its 'special' challenges at every turn," said Talman. "Please come laugh and cry and maybe leave knowing we have a lot in common."

Featuring scenic design by Stephanie Mayer-Staley, costume design by Joan Markert, light design by Annmarie Duggan, sound design by StEve Shapiro and video design by Andrew J. Paul.

Director, John Shepard recently directed The Lion in Winter for PICT. He has directed a number of REP and Conservatory shows including Heads, August: Osage County (PPG's Production of the Year, 2012), Buried Child, The Chicken Snake, One Flea Spare, Marat/Sade, Candide, Evita among others. He has also directed for Quantum -Tamara (PPG's best play of the year 2014); Off the Wall - OR, Shining City and across the country from CA to ME. He's looking forward to directing Annie in Woody's Order! at EST/LA next month.

Exclusive Talk Backs with Ann will begin immediately following the Feb. 3 and Feb. 16 evening performances and the Feb. 11matinee performance.
