A stage musical adaptation of the short-lived but beloved cult TV series PUSHING DAISIES is being prepped for production according to a new interview with the show's creator, Bryan Fuller.

Fuller recently revealed, "I've had conversations very recently with Barry Sonnenfeld about financing a film, and with Kristin Chenoweth and Warner Brothers about developing a stage musical."

Previously, Fuller alluded to the project in another interview, relaying, "We're working on something that is definitely a Pushing Daisies revival, and the idea would be to have as many cast as we can to participate in it."

Of note, PUSHING DAISIES aired on ABC from 2007 to 2009, completing two seasons before it was cancelled by the network.

Additionally, the show received 17 Emmy nominations during its run, winning 7, with Chenoweth winning Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series for her work along with Sonnenfeld for Outstanding Directing For A Comedy Series.

Besides Chenoweth, the series also famously featured a number of other Broadway notables in recurring roles, including Lee Pace, Jim Dale, Raul Esparza, Ellen Greene and Swoosie Kurtz.
