In keeping with L.A. Dance Project's commitment to the City of Los Angeles, the company is announcing its new artistic partnership with Ace Hotel, which will begin with three performances on February 20th, 21st and 22nd at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, formerly the historic
United Artists Theatre.
After its much anticipated 2012 premiere at The Music Center's
Walt Disney Concert Hall, as part of
Glorya Kaufman presents Dance at the Music Center, and a world-wide tour in 2013, L.A. Dance Project returns to Downtown Los Angeles to present its most celebrated collaborations to date.
The program includes U.S. premieres of Reflections choreographed by Benjamin Millepied with music by David Lang and visual concepts by Barbara Kruger, and Murder Ballads by Justin Peck with music by Bryce Dessner of The National and visual concepts by Sterling Ruby. These two works will be paired with an exclusive sneak-peek of a new piece by Hiroaki Umeda in preparation for its upcoming premiere in Paris in March 2014.

Walt Disney Concert Hall on September 22, 2012. Since then the company has maintained a steady schedule of performances both in the United States and internationally. From the end of 2012 through 2013, LADP appeared at: University of California Davis' Mondavi Center; Alexander Kasser Hall at Montclair State University, New Jersey; White Bird Dance in Portland, Oregon; and the Westobou Festival in Augusta, Georgia. In 2013, LADP also performed at international venues including: Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris; Sadler's Wells Theatre, London; Art Basel; The Holland Festival, Amsterdam; The Spoleto Festival; The Edinburgh International Festival; La Maison de la Danse in Lyon, France; and Is Sanat, Istanbul, Turkey. The company also collaborated with The Industry on the much-acclaimed Invisible Cities at Union Station.
In addition to Los Angeles, in 2014 New York, Paris, the Dance Biennial in Lyon and the Golden Mask Festival Moscow. LADP will also be touring to a number of cities in France, China and Japan.
