The El Segundo Playhouse continues its inaugural season presenting the WORLD PREMIERE production of Larry Gene's play EMMA from February 2 through February 12, 2012 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm with Sunday matinees at 2pm. The El Segundo Playhouse is located at 640 Main Street in El Segundo, CA 90245.

“Emma” is produced by James A. Blackman III, directed by Chuck McCollum, and features Marla Douglas, Richard Gadas, Shirley Anne Hatton, Oscar Jordan, Rachel Kanouse, Jack Messinger, and Kevin Paul in the cast.

Larry Gene's play “Emma” finds writer Henry Cuttup struggling over his new play. Encouraged by his wife to confront his family's past, Henry creates a story that releases inner turmoil in two worlds. In a small rural town, farmhouse owner Mabel Weaver lives with her bigoted son Cody and their black housekeeper, Emma, whose past will come back to haunt the family. Moving between Henry's own story and the tale he is creating, Henry begins to uncover elements of his past while trying to finish Emma's story.

Tickets are $50 for Thursday and Friday and $60 for Saturday and Sunday and are available by calling 310-372-4477 or at the box office one hour prior to performance. More information about the El Segundo Playhouse and its inaugural season can be found at www.elsegundoplayhouse.org.
