Alvin Ailey Dancers Present DANCE WORKS UNHINGED This Weekend

The Ailey dancers invite fans and friends to Dance Works Unhinged, a self-produced performance of original works in the intimate surroundings of The Ailey Citigroup Theater tonight, July 20th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 21st at 3:00 p.m. Ticket proceeds will go to the Ailey Dancers' Resource Fund, which assists current and former company members with grants for career transition, creative endeavors or emergency loans.

Dance Works Unhinged will feature choreography and performances by members of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Ailey dancers creating works for the special program include Hope Boykin, Sean A. Carmon, Vernard J. Gilmore, Megan Jakel, Yannick Lebrun, Jamar Roberts, Matthew Rushing, Kanji Segawa, Jermaine Terry and Marcus Jarrell Willis.

Dance Works Unhinged is a rare opportunity to enjoy the many facets of the Ailey dancers up close at the home of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater - The Joan Weill Center for Dance - 405 West 55th Street (at Ninth Avenue). On July 20th and 21st, for two performances only, support and experience the dynamic technique, passionate artistry and unique choreographic voices of the world renowned Ailey company members as never before.
