Review: JESSICA FOSTEKEW: ICONIC BREATH, Soho Theatre.
by Christiana Rose - October 16, 2025
Jessica Fostekew’s Iconic Breath is a rich, raucous and deeply human exploration of emotion, irritation and endurance, told with warmth and wit. Across a fast-paced hour, she dissects the chaos of contemporary existence with an honesty which is as refreshing as it is uproarious. Fostekew greets the Soho Theatre audience like old friends, delighted by their midweek energy which she declares feels “more Thursday than Wednesday.” It is an opening which sets the tone for an evening built on connection, authenticity and the joyful absurdity of self-reflection.
Review: 384 DAYS, Pleasance Theatre
by Amber-Rae Stobbs - October 16, 2025
O’Rourke turned her thoughts into a concerningly witty and twisted play that has you both rooting for and terrified of her character. With her natural humour and ability to bounce off the audience’s unscripted interactions, O’Rourke is a master at leaving the ‘review team’ unsettled and hanging onto her every word.

Review: RAGDOLL, Jermyn Street Theatre
by Cindy Marcolina - October 15, 2025
In early 1974, American actress Patty Hearst was brutally abducted from her flat in California by the Symbionese Liberation Army, deemed the first far-left terrorist organisation. Faced with the choice of being released or joining the militia, Hearst decided to stay and fight with the dissidents. She was arrested over a year and a half later, after a series of serious felonies that included a bank robbery. Her 35-year sentence was reduced to 7, then pardoned altogether. Inspired by Hearst’s trial, Katherine Moar writes a look at fame and crime for the #MeToo age.
