Sheffield Theatres is currently seeking new Trustees to join its Board and work alongside the leadership team to help shape the future of the organisation.

Sheffield Theatres, voted as Regional Theatre of the Year 2013, is fresh from its resounding success at the UK Theatre Awards where it won in four categories - an achievement that is unsurpassed by any other regional theatre.

The largest theatre complex outside of London, Sheffield Theatres comprises the iconic Crucible, the Studio and the Victorian splendour of the Lyceum. It produces and presents a diverse programme of work, including classic and contemporary drama, musicals, comedy, opera and dance on each of its stages. Over the last twelve months, the company has produced a national tour of The Full Monty, which will open in the West End in February 2013, and has taken Bull, a new play by Mike Bartlett, to New York as part of Brits Off Broadway. Last year over 430,000 people attended Sheffield Theatres.

Sheffield Theatres is seeking Trustees with senior experience from a range of sectors including Higher and Further Education, financial, legal, artistic and digital communications businesses.

Applicants will work with the leadership team to provide clear strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance, they will demonstrate excellent communication skills and they will also have a good understanding of local, regional and cultural agendas.
