Interview: Jane Lynch Talks Friendship, Music and Mischief in THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS
by Lucía Serrano - Mar 4, 2026
Two iconic TV characters performed by two masters of comedy. The loved-to-be-hated Sue Sylvester from “Glee,” played to perfection by Emmy Award‑winner and TV host Jane Lynch, and the hilariously unpredictable Meredith “Marge” Palmer in “The Office,” brought to life by longtime fan favorite Kate Flannery (also known for her work with The Groundlings improv company), aren’t just pillars of women in comedy—they’re very real people with precise comedic chops that shine through in The Trouble with Angels, a breezy, hour-plus of tune-filled fun at the historic Balboa Theatre on March 15.

Review: THE PRINCE OF EGYPT with Foundation of Arts at The Forum in Jonesboro
by Theresa Bertram - Mar 3, 2026
When a community unites to tell a story of faith, freedom, and destiny, the result can be nothing short of breathtaking, and that is exactly what unfolded at The Forum Theatre in Jonesboro as The Foundation of Arts, in partnership with Central Baptist and Jonesboro area churches, presented THE PRINCE OF EGYPT. Under the direction of Maranda Nichols, this sweeping epic rose beyond spectacle and became a powerful expression of collective artistry and belief.

Review: ANGELS IN AMERICA, PART TWO: PERESTROIKA at Theater West End
by Albert Gutierrez - Feb 22, 2026
Theater West End was wise to split Angels in America in the season as two separate performances, each with their own block in the schedule. Originally, I was concerned that the Part Two of it all might turn away prospective theatergoers. But upon watching both parts now, and bearing in mind my own familiarity for the characters, I can also see now how the original production’s 18-month gap would have also been enticing for an audience.

Review: BEETLEJUICE Appears at Broadway Sacramento
by Courtney Symes - Feb 19, 2026
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! You’ve done it, Sacramento! You’ve summoned the ghost with the most, and you’re going to love every minute of his antics. We first fell in love with him in Tim Burton’s 1988 film, Beetlejuice, starring Michael Keaton as the titular character. Continuing the legend, Eddie Perfect’s music and lyrics set to the 2019 stage production make Beetlejuice The Musical. The Musical. The Musical. one of the few movie to musical adaptations to die for.
