These general vocal auditions are the one opportunity for out-of-town and resident singers to be heard. We will be hearing both managed and unmanaged singers. Applicants should send a resume, bio and cover letter requesting an audition time. Applicants, at their option, may also send a letter of recommendation. Do not send mp3 files or CD's at this time.

Those accepted to audition will need to pay a $20 application fee. A pianist will be provided for you at your audition. You may choose to bring your own accompanist, in which case your application fee is reduced to $10. Singers auditioning for Principal, Comprimario or Emerging Artists program need to bring a set of five selections to the audition with at least one selection in Italian. Chorus auditionees need to prepare two selections from memory with one in Italian. SPO Chorus positions are paid positions.

Interested individuals should send an audition request, with either a resume or a letter containing your musical background and pertinent experience to Michelle Rego, office@stpeteopera.org
