First Run is proud to announce we are accepting short play submissions for the Spectrum 2010 Festival. Spectrum is a festival of short plays to be performed in October of 2010. We will accept plays on all subject matters but First Run is also using Spectrum as its contribution to Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis' Gateway to Shakespeare. Though not required, we would especially encourage any play about Shakespeare, Elizabethan theatre, Elizabethan times or theatre in general.

Plays should be:
- From 10 minutes to 15 minutes long (and no longer),
- New and unpublished
- By a St. Louis regional playwright
- Must have a simple set and small to moderate number of characters.

Plays will be fully staged with minimal sets, costumes and props.

Submission period is from April 1 2010 to July 31 2010. Selection announcements to be made by beginning of August. The Spectrum Festival of plays will be performed in October 2010 at the Soundstages theater in the Crestwood Artspace.

Scripts may be submitted in one of two ways.
