South Bend Civic Theatre is seeking a full-time Education Director.
Full-time position to develop the programs and professional connections to create an excellent, exciting, substantial and complete theatre arts education program that develops tomorrow's actors, technicians and audience members and contributes to the organization's bottom line.
The Education Director will be responsible for developing sequential curriculum-based classes for youth and classes and workshops for adults; teaching and managing the Civic Youth Company; recruiting, training and retaining highly qualified teachers; overseeing Kids4Kids & family productions geared for developing young audiences and young theatre artists; developing strong connections with K-12 schools for the development of effective programs to support K-12 theatre arts learning; and building strong relationships within the community for the development of interns, creative team members, and teacher/teacher assistants.
South Bend Civic Theatre's mission is to enrich the quality of life of the South Bend regional community through the dramatic arts.
