The National Tour of Waitress, running now through May 19th at the Fisher Theatre, is a spectacular production all-around. Waitress tells the story of Jenna - a waitress and expert pie maker in a small southern town. She dreams of a way out of this small town and away from her broken marriage and abusive husband. Through the thought of winning a local pie baking contest and forming a brand-new life, Jenna longs to make her dreams a reality. In order to do so, Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life. With original music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, this show is sure to leave you singing in your seat.

Brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team that features original music from six-time Grammy nominee, Sara Bareilles, Waitress is playing until May 19th at the Fisher Theatre. Jenna is an expert pie maker and as the title suggests, a waitress, who dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest could be chance at a new start along with possibly the town's new doctor, but Jenna has to find to find the courage and strength to try. 'We have pie! There's pie in the lobby,' answered Ephie Aardema, who plays Jenna's friend and fellow waitress in the show, when asked about why Detroit audiences should see the show. Celebrity Attractions is pleased to announce that WAITRESS will make its Tulsa debut at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited eight performance engagement April 16-21 and, in association with Theatre Tulsa, is looking for two young girls to perform the role of "Lulu" for the duration of the engagement.

The producers of the Broadway hit Waitress have announced that original cast member Stephanie Torns will put on the apron in the role of Jenna from December 11-January 6, 2019. Sara Bareilles will take over the role, joined by Gavin Creel, on January 7.
